“Be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour,.”

Our enemy Satan seeks anyone he can destroy. It’s important to know his attributes so that we are not ignorant to all of his schemes. You have to know that our true enemy here on Earth is Satan.

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)

Here are three things to know about Satan:

Satan is a thief

A thief is one that takes that which does not belong to them. They will often try to get that which does not belong to them without being noticed. Satan is aware that we possess something in the Kingdom of God.

Everything that God has given, Satan wants to take it away from you, and he will try his best to steal it. He wants to steal your peace, blessings, joy, happiness, faith, and even your life in Jesus.  You have to be aware of his ways in order to resist him.  Satan is the one “who deceives the whole world;” a deceiver that steals position and truth to lead people astray.

Satan is a killer

Satan is the one, who loves to kill the fire, and the vision you have inside for God. Your vision will take you to your destination, and enlarge your sphere of influence. When vision is killed, you will be stagnant with no progress.

Satan will try to kill your expectations because when you are not expectant, you end up receiving nothing, and he loves that you will not receive something from the Lord. See, how selfish Satan is?

Satan is the destroyer

He will try to destroy your life, your career, your relationship with God, your marriage or relationship , and your potential as a person. Satan will try to destroy your belief in God.

Rather than bring life, Satan brings death, rather than give, he steals. Rather than build up, he destroys. He is the destroyer while God is the restorer. One of Satan’s worst enemies is a man on his knees before the Lord.

Jesus Christ reminds us in John 10:10 that “He comes so we may have life, and have it to the full.”So let us go to God with full confidence, for in Him we are safe with no reason to be afraid.
