There’s a rising hunger in the Body of Christ to see in the spirit. More and more believers are waking up to the reality that God is still speaking—not only through dreams, visions, and trances, but through the open-eye realm. The veil is thinning, and the Holy Spirit is inviting a generation into a greater dimension of prophetic sight. But with every invitation comes a responsibility. It’s time to activate the seer anointing.
What Is the Seer Anointing?
The seer anointing is a prophetic dimension marked by spiritual sight. Seers are prophets who primarily receive revelation through visions and dreams—though many also operate in strong discernment, inner knowing, and even angelic encounters. We see this in Scripture with the prophet Samuel, of whom it was said, “formerly in Israel, when a man went to inquire of God, he spoke thus: ‘Come, let us go to the seer’” (1 Samuel 9:9). Samuel wasn’t just a prophet who spoke the word of the Lord—he saw.
The seer realm is a legitimate and vital stream of the prophetic. Not every prophet is a seer, but every seer is prophet. Some are born with the gift, but all believers have access to the Holy Spirit who distributes gifts as He wills—and I believe many more are being called into this realm in these last days. You don’t have to be a seer to see in the spirit. I’ve written about this extensively in The Seer Dimensions and taught in my School of the Seers since 2018.
Why Should We Press into the Seer Anointing?
We are living in a time of increased deception. The enemy is masquerading as an angel of light, releasing counterfeit visions, false prophetic words, and even false visitations. We need watchmen with sharp vision. We need those who can see into the enemy’s camp and decode satanic blueprints before they unfold. We need people who can receive divine intelligence straight from heaven’s throne room and deliver it with precision and purity.
When Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes that he may see,” the servant’s eyes were opened to the angelic armies surrounding them (2 Kings 6:17). That wasn’t imagination—that was seer insight. When Ezekiel saw the glory of the Lord by the river Chebar (Ezekiel 1), he wasn’t reading a scroll—he was caught up. These are not fairy tales or Old Testament anomalies. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. And He is still opening eyes.
How Do You Activate the Seer Anointing?
Some people assume if they don’t already see in the spirit, they never will. That’s a lie. Spiritual gifts can be imparted, stirred up, and activated. Here are some ways to position yourself for activation in the seer realm:
1. Ask God to Open Your Eyes
Elisha didn’t open his servant’s eyes—he prayed and God opened them. Ask with childlike faith. Jesus said, “Ask, and it will be given to you… for everyone who asks receives” (Matthew 7:7–8). Cry out like blind Bartimaeus, “Lord, I want to see!”
2. Purify Your Heart and Mind
Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8). If you want to see in the spirit, remove the clutter. Renounce compromise. Shut the doors to carnality. Sensitize your spirit by consecrating yourself afresh.
3. Meditate on the Word
Seers don’t just float in visions all day—they are grounded in the Word. The Word is the foundation for every legitimate vision. Let the Word wash your spiritual eyes. As David said, “The entrance of Your words gives light” (Psalm 119:130).
We are moving into an age of increased glory and increased deception. We must sharpen our spiritual senses. We must rise as watchmen on the wall. God is activating a company of seers in this hour—those who will see and say, discern and declare, perceive and prevail. If you feel the stirring, don’t wait. Ask Him to open your eyes. Consecrate yourself. Press in. The seer realm is not for the elite—it’s for the hungry.
