Children are the best happy pills in the world. Their contagious laughter and precious innocence can uplift anyone’s soul. So when one of these little ones is struck by a terminal disease it’s more devastating than anything. When the child you used to see happy, active, and silly is filled with tears and in pain… it is an unparalleled grief.
The 4-year-old little boy in the video is one such child but his joy is as contagious as ever.
He was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia. According to the National Cancer Institute, acute lymphocytic leukemia is a type of cancer in which the bone marrow makes too many immature lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell). This type of cancer usually gets worse quickly if it is not treated. And although this was the poor boy’s case, he never allowed his situation to take away the joy in his heart. This little guy amazingly chose to worship the Lord on his hospital bed.
While in the hospital he requested praise and worship music on. His family and friends sang around him, keeping his spirits up. You can see his face brightened as he worships the Lord. What’s more amazing is that there were kids with him in the hospital that worshiped the Lord too. Even at 4 years old and sick with cancer, this boy is being a light for Christ. It’s a very beautiful moment to behold.
First they sing “10,000 Reasons (Bless The Lord)” then “This Little Light Of Mine”, two of his favorites.
