Until you get rid of that chip on your shoulder and re-engage with the Body of Christ, you will be stunted in your growth and limited in your reach.

Wanda Alger

Yes, this is what the Lord showed me in prayer recently. There is a BITTER ROOT within the hearts of many disillusioned believers because they’ve been “hurt by The Church.” You may have forgiven certain leaders for personal failings, but a corporate offense may be lingering that is eating at your soul, causing you to miss the grace of God (Hebrews 12:14). Until you get rid of that chip on your shoulder and re-engage with the Body of Christ, you will be stunted in your growth and limited in your reach.

Gods intention has always been for us to WALK AS FAMILY. It started in the Garden where He created a place for the family to flourish and rule. Though the first family messed it up, He hasn’t changed his mind. He is looking for a people who know the bond of fellowship and journey together, not because they’re perfect or agree on everything, but because they’re family. We must learn to STICK together because we’re CALLED together. It’s that kind of covenant relationship that created the atmosphere for signs, wonders, and miracles to happen in the books of Acts (Acts 2:42-47).

Start by looking for healthy spiritual moms and dads. Any healthy Household of faith will be led by spiritually mature mothers and fathers whose hearts are for the family – not for themselves. When you find godly parents, you can expect kingdom fruit. It’s in this kind of kingdom culture that the sons and daughters can emerge with power and promise (Romans 8:19).

Get rid of any corporate offense you may have and pray for others who are still watching from the sidelines. Every believer has a place in the family and every family member has a part to play. Get connected and celebrate the family of God. It’s time we become the powerful change agents that God intends and demonstrate what life in the Garden was supposed to look like.
