The enemy has no right to attack your body, unless you give it an open door and even then you can repent and receive healing. Sickness is an illegal trespasser in the temple of the Holy Spirit, and we have been given divine authority to cast it out. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8), and that includes every sickness, disease, and infirmity that seeks to hinder our divine assignment.
Too many believers tolerate symptoms, hoping God will heal them someday. But healing is not just a hope—it is a promise, and it is a provision that has already been made through the finished work of the Cross. Isaiah 53:5 declares, “By His stripes we are healed.” Not might be. Not could be. We are healed. The price has been paid, and it’s time we enforce what Jesus purchased with His precious blood.
Your Authority to Command Healing
Jesus gave His disciples power over sickness and disease, and that authority has not been revoked. In Luke 9:1-2, “He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.”
We are His disciples today. We are ambassadors of Christ. We are seated with Him in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). The enemy has no legal right to attack our bodies unless we allow him. And too often, we allow him by passivity—by not standing our ground and enforcing the healing promises of God.
How to Command Healing
Healing is not always a matter of pleading with God to move—it’s about using the authority He’s already given us to drive out sickness. Jesus never begged the Father to heal anyone. He commanded healing. He spoke to the sickness. He rebuked fevers (Luke 4:39). He cast out spirits of infirmity (Luke 13:11-12). He told the paralyzed man, “Rise, take up your bed, and walk” (Mark 2:11).
It’s time for us to follow His example. Here’s how you can begin to command healing in Jesus’ name:
- Speak to the Sickness – Mark 11:23 tells us to speak to the mountain. Sickness is a mountain, and you must command it to move. Say, “Pain, I command you to go! Infirmity, leave my body in Jesus’ name!” Speak directly to the affliction, not just about it.
- Declare God’s Word – The Word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). When you declare, “By His stripes, I am healed” (Isaiah 53:5) or “He sent His Word and healed me” (Psalm 107:20), you are releasing supernatural power into your situation.
- Rebuke the Spirit of Infirmity – Some sicknesses are the result of demonic oppression. Jesus rebuked spirits of infirmity and set people free (Luke 13:11-12). Say, “Every spirit of affliction, I command you to loose my body now in Jesus’ name!”
- Lay Hands on Yourself – Mark 16:18 says, “They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” You can lay hands on yourself and declare healing over your body. Say, “I release the power of the Holy Spirit into my body now. Be healed in Jesus’ name!”
- Refuse to Accept the Symptoms – Symptoms are a deception. Just because you feel pain doesn’t mean you are not healed. Command the symptoms to leave and stand firm in faith, refusing to let doubt take root.
Stand in Your Healing
After you command healing, you must stand your ground. The enemy will try to make you doubt. He will whisper, “You’re not healed. It’s not working.” But don’t waver. Hold fast to your confession (Hebrews 10:23). Keep speaking life, keep declaring the Word, and keep resisting the enemy.
James 4:7 says, “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” That includes resisting sickness. The moment you feel an attack on your body, go to war. Take up the sword of the Spirit. Command the enemy to flee. He has no right to trespass on what belongs to God.
Miracles Still Happen
We serve a miracle-working God. The same Jesus who walked the earth healing the sick is still healing today. And He has given you the power to command healing in His name. It’s time to rise up, enforce your authority, and refuse to allow the enemy to rob you of your divine health.
Command your healing today. Stand in faith. And watch God move!
