GRACE GRACE GRACE FAVOR FAVOR FAVOR

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
It is not of the norm for me to set an alarm clock. I am an early riser by nature; which probably has a little to do with eleven years of prior military service, getting up at the crack of dawn daily. While this morning was a little later than my usual rising time, I was pleasantly surprised at the greeting that was glaring at me from my clock on the nightstand. As I awakened, I was excited to see “555”. I did, however, miss the opportunity to capture this in a picture. There's the proof that my children may be right about the fact that I am not moving as fast as I used to. Who knows, maybe they will ignore this writing and miss that I just admitted that publicly.
Nevertheless, here is why I am so enthusiastic about this “555” flashing at me first thing this morning. Bible Study Tools defines the number five this way: “The number 5 symbolizes God's grace, goodness and favor toward humans…” When I awakened and saw it, I instantly heard “FAVOR FAVOR FAVOR”. Imagine that, the promise of a triple measure of grace and favor is in store for the people of God.
As I started to move about, I pondered this moment all the more. I began to sense that this triple grace and favor will not only visit us in 2018, but it is here for the taking right now. Suddenly, I decided to count the number of days remaining in 2017…and you guessed it…as of today 5 DAYS ARE LEFT! Mega favor is what we have to look forward to as we are careful not to rush out of 2017, but rather gracefully transition into the quickly approaching new year.
Let us take a closer look at what it means to have favor. Merriam Webster and other dictionary sources define favor as “approving consideration or attention; gracious kindness; effort in one's behalf or interest; support or liking for something or someone”. Those meanings are good; but I am most fascinated by some of the synonyms of the word favor:
1. backing
2. support
3. assistance
And here is what the Lord is saying today concerning this:
“As you GO as I instruct you in this hour, this season, My mighty wind of FAVOR is “backing” you. All of Heaven is backing you. I will send Angel Armies to assist and support you…when you GO. You will not have to do what I am calling you to do alone. I am with you every step of the way. My grace and favor upon you is My stamp of approval concerning what I have called you to do, what I have told you to speak, and where I have mandated for you to GO. As you GO, you will see clearly what the next move is. As you GO, you will not have to look for provision, as I will cause provision to find you. As you GO, I will honor your obedience and cause My blessings to track you down and hover over you. Oh yes…this is my promise to you. So…GO! GO! GO!”
