Intercessors it's time to unite

By Stephanie Dillon

Over the past few months, everywhere I look is “22”.  I double down in agreement with the prophetic words for 2018 proclaiming “The Year of the Intercessor”.  There is an apostolic mantle falling on these praying ones to parallel the reformation of the five fold in the church.  Why the intercessor?  Because the Lord delights in their hiddenness. Their hearts can be trusted and their devotion to the presence makes them drip with the anointing to uproot, tear down, destroy and overthrow, build up and plant (Jer 1:10) in prayer.

Intercessors are the authoritative gatekeepers to the spirit realm.  In the Bible, these hand-selected elite were the chief royal stewards to the gates of the cities.  The prosperity of the entire kingdom depended on them exercising control over who and what could pass through the gates.  We are being called – now more than ever – to establish the Kingdom on earth through new and specific strategies as we decree and declare the will of Jesus.  We do this when we open and shut (Is 22:22) spiritual gates by coming into agreement with the logos (written) and rhema (revealed through the Spirit) Word of God.

Lana Vawser wrote in her word for 2018, “[God’s] voice is going to be heard and resounded louder in the earth than had ever been heard before.  Out of these life-changing throne room encounters, new assignments and commissioning’s will take place for God’s people”.  Notice, the word NEW.  In order for new to come forward, NEW must be heard and NEW must be declared.  This is the rhema word that is only received from hearing the Spirit.  Petition & supplication is good.  Proclaiming the Word is better.  But declaring what the Spirit says is paramount because when we do, we are in agreement with the Father (John 16:13) and Heaven comes to earth.

Further, the Lord has shown me the supernatural synergy that occurs when intercessors come together corporately.  It is agreement upon agreement that opens and shuts gates not accessible to individual gatekeepers (Acts 12:5, 2 Cor 1:11, Esther 4:16). Intercessors, merge and open the gates!  Prayer creates unity and unity opens the gates of Heaven!
