The Lord spoke to me, saying that many of His children are in a place called, “contradiction.” The place of contradiction is where everything looks opposite from what God has promised you. If that is you, I have good news for you: there is a DIVINE REVERSAL taking place in this season.

The word “contradiction” is a very interesting and prophetic word. The prefix “contra,” according to dictionary.com, means, “against; in opposition or contrast to.” The word “diction” means, “the exact words or phraseology used to convey thought.” The Lord would say to you today, “Opposition (the contra) has been against your word (the diction). Hell is terrified over what God has decreed over your life.”

The Lord showed me a vision of a bed that contained God's promises but they were covered in total darkness. As I stared at this bed I was deeply saddened by the seemingly dead promises. Jesus then walked into the room that was filled with gloom and He was clothed in bright light. He pulled back the blanket of darkness, exposing the extreme brightness of God's promises. Immediately the room was as bright as anything that I had ever seen.

Bright Lights and Promises

This day, the Lord says to you, “Everything may appear to you as though it is dark right now and that the promises that I have made you are distant and covered because of the demonic forces fighting against you. They have been assigned to cause you to stumble. But I say to you, Don't give up. Stand strong. Get ready for your set time. I am now pulling back the cover of darkness and shinning My light on the promises that I have made to you! They will come forth. The enemy will no longer be able to blanket what I have promised because I am highlighting you. Even now, your circumstances are coming into alignment with that which I have spoken over you.”

I love the story in the Gospel of John where the man who was born blind encounters Jesus. “And His disciples asked Him, saying, ‘Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?' Jesus answered, ‘Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him'” (John 9:2-3).

The disciples concluded that there must have been a sin issue or this man would not have been dealing with this blindness. There are some people who have looked at your situation and assumed that you must have done something, which caused you to be plagued with such opposition. What they do not understand is that the promise God made to you was so great that all of Hell is terrorized by the thought of God's promise coming to pass in your life. This is the reason there has been such ferocious resistance against you.

God is Not the Cause But He is the Answer

Jesus replied to His disciples question with the answer, “Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents.” In other words, His blindness was not a result of God's judgment. God was not the cause, but He was the answer.

“When He had thus spoken, He spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, and said unto him, ‘Go, wash in the pool of Siloam,' (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.” (John 9:6-7)

This man's situation went from bad, to worse, to breakthrough. He was born blind, everything was dark and he had no vision; that was bad. Then Jesus spat on the ground and made mud and smeared it on the blind man's eyes. This could have been classified as worse. He was blind, with mud and spit covering his face and he still could not see. Have you ever wondered why Jesus used His spit and dirt to form the mud that He put on the eyes of this man? His spit contained His DNA! We also know that humans were made from the dirt of the earth. He recreated this man's eyes with the natural earth and His DNA! Jesus was adding His super to man's natural. This was a prophetic act.

Sent on a Prophetic Word

Jesus then gives a prophetic word of instruction in verse seven, “Go, wash.” Remember the man was blind, yet Jesus told him to go wash in the pool of Siloam, meaning “sent.” God will send you on nothing more than a prophetic word!

The blind man was living in darkness from birth, but when he obeyed the Lord's instruction, his life was suddenly exposed to light. Does your situation look dark? All you need is one word from God and it will change everything.

Your best days are not behind you. In fact, you are about to see the greatest display of God's goodness in your life. There is a divine shift that is coming to your situation. This is the time that your circumstance will align with God's promises. You have stood in the midst of contradiction, but now God is coming in on the scene. He is ripping off the blanket of darkness and lighting up every promise that He has made you. Get ready for the manifestation of His glory in your life.

The blind man received a testimony that could not be shaken. Even when the Jews did not believe what had been done, he was not moved. He said, “… one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see” (John 9:25). The same will be your testimony! You will say, “Everything looked dark. I lived in a place of contradiction, but all I know is that God's Word to me was stronger than the devil's opposition against it. I was blind, but now I see.”

Your night season of contradiction is coming to an end. The brightness of a new morning is breaking though. God has given you jurisdiction over the contradiction!

The blind man received a testimony that could not be shaken. Even when the Jews did not believe what had been done, he was not moved. He said, “… one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see” (John 9:25). The same will be your testimony! You will say, “Everything looked dark.
