Kari Jobe is one of the most inspiring Christian singers in today’s generation. Her life is a wonderful blessing to so many people. And in one of her Instagram posts, the singer who is now a loving mother, posted a heart-melting message for her eldest son, Canyon Carnes.
She narrated the reaction of sweet Canyon when she informed him about his baby brother.
“Canyon… When I first told you we were gonna have a baby join our family you kindly looked at me with an inquisitive brow and as much grace as a 2-year-old can muster up, and just said, ‘no’. I giggled and thought to myself, “Thankfully, I have some time to help you understand and ease you in,” Kari shared in her Instagram post along with an adorable photo of her son leaning to her belly.
Kari shared that little Canyon would ask her about so many things. He would curiously ask her if his baby brother lives in his belly too. The mother and son would talk about how they would celebrate his birthday and sing the birthday song.
It is very evident that Kari and her precious son truly enjoy the blessing that God poured out on their family. Along the journey of waiting, Kari passionately helped her son by preparing him to be a big brother.
“ I want you to know something – we will journey this new season together as we welcome your little best friend into the world – I already have a few surprises surrounding his birthday that you’re gonna love. You made me a mama first and me and you will always be best buddies – and now we get to have a new sidekick too – it’s going be even sweeter,” Kari wrote.
“Tonight when I was laying beside you singing, and we were saying our prayers, as you joined in and sang ‘I am not alone’ for the first time, I thought to myself, ‘You’re ready.”, she added.
You always have my heart
Her message for Canyon is truly warm and heart-melting. It reflects the indescribable love that she has for her son. How she leads her son in love is a beautiful example of how a mother should carry her child.
She ended the post with a powerful promise to her firstborn son. “You’re ready to be a big brother and lead and help and share. But you know what? I want you to know that you always have my heart – and it will be even bigger than you’ve already known.”
Being a mother is not an easy thing. It takes so much patience and understanding to raise a child.
