On my morning prayer broadcast, I prophesied we’re in a season of rain. Rain is a sign of God’s blessings—and we pressed into it. Rain is a sign of God’s blessings. (You can listen to the replay here.)

Many in the Body of Christ have been living in famine—financial famine, friendship famines, health famines, and so on. Some of you felt like the Lord Himself withheld the rain, withheld the blessing, but the enemy shut up the heavens over your life. But God is raining His blessings down on the faithful in this season. Indeed, its’s a season of rain.

But we must respond. Zechariah 10:1 tells us how to respond: “Ask rain from the Lord in the season of the spring rain, from the Lord who makes the storm clouds, and he will give them showers of rain, to everyone the vegetation in the field.”

Why would you have to ask for rain in the season of rain? If it’s going to rain, in other words, why would you have to ask God for it? God knows what you need and want before you ever ask, but He wants us to ask. He wants us to get in agreement with what He wants to do in the earth—and in our lives.

The Lord is saying, “Enough is enough.”

And the Lord says, “I will shower from above and the rain clouds will rain down righteousness and blessing upon you. You have waited and you have wanted and you have even wandered around in a desert place, a land of cracked, dry ground. But I called you in that season to break up the fallow ground so that I could prepare it, so that I could prepare you for the rain showers that are coming, the blessings that would come down like a deluge.

“I will flood your heart with blessings, and I will flood your mind with revelations and you will come to see and know that what the enemy meant for harm I intended for Good. In this next season, the season of the rain, you will make up for lost time. And where you were thirsty and where you were hungry for the blessing you will hunger and thirst for righteousness only. For the blessing will chase you down and overtake you.

“And you will not have to wonder and worry any more about where the blessing will come from—whatever the blessing is, whatever it is you need, whatever it you want, whatever desires I have put in your heart—you will begin to see some of these things come to pass even from decades past. The enemy has shut up the heavens over your life for a little too long and I have heard your cries ad I have come down to deliver you and to bring the rain.”

I don’t know about you, but I hear the sound of rushing rain. I hear the sound of an abundance of rain. You might have to keep looking. You might have to keep listening, but it’s coming. We’re in a season of rain. Receive it!
