I see the eyes of children opening. Parents with children between 5- and 10-years-old need to begin to teach them the principles of seeing in the spirit through the door of Jesus because they are going to begin to prophesy through dreams and visions.

This is going to start with dreams but as you nurture them in the realm of dreams and teach them and show them and encourage them, they’re going to begin to see visions. I heard the Lord say:

“Don’t be concerned when some of your children start falling into trances.  Don’t take them to the doctor because it’s Me, and they will come out of that trance and they will have prophetic insight, wisdom and knowledge on things to come because I’m showing them things that eye has not seen nor ear heard.

“Encourage the young ones, encourage the children. Encourage them. Don’t push them away. Don’t tell them, ‘Later on I’ll talk to you,’ but take the time even now because in this season I’m pouring out My Spirit on all flesh, but I have a special eye on the young ones who have not yet been corrupted and polluted by the ways of the world. And I want to use them as pure voices and pure visionaries in their generation.

“So encourage them, teach them, show them the way. I am the Way and you will see and know that I will activate even the very young ones in these gifts and the gifts of My spirit, and they will see with clarity and know and understand even be able to articulate things that their human capacity could not possible comprehend says God.”

Let’s take this seriously. In Joel 2:28 God assures us: “And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.” When Joel prophesied those words, God wasn’t leaving out the children.

We know the Bible tells us to, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). Some children have strong prophetic bents, but we think they are just operating out of the realm of the imagination. We could be unintentionally quenching the Spirit of God working through them. God forbid!

Remember, Jesus was keen on ministering to children—so we should be too! Mark 10:13-16 (TPT) records an incident related to children and Jesus’ response:

“The parents kept bringing their little children to Jesus so that he would lay his hands on them and bless them. But the disciples kept rebuking and scolding the people for doing it. When Jesus saw what was happening, he became indignant with his disciples and said to them, ‘Let all the little children come to me and never hinder them! Don’t you know that God’s kingdom realm exists for such as these? Listen to the truth I speak: Whoever does not open their arms to receive God’s kingdom like a teachable child will never enter it.’ Then he embraced each child, and laying his hands on them, he lovingly blessed each one.”

Luke records people were even bringing infants to Jesus to receive an impartation (Luke 18:15-17). It’s never too early to begin exposing your children to prophetic life.

Many children see angels. That makes biblical since considering what Jesus said in Matthew 18:10 (TPT), “Be careful that you not corrupt one of these little ones. For I can assure you that in heaven each of their angelic guardians have instant access to my heavenly Father.”

Parents and children’s ministry teachers, keep Deuteronomy 6:7 in mind, “You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.”
