Nobody enjoys a test. Even if you are prepared for it, there’s pressure to perform in the final exam—at least in the natural.
When God gives us a final exam after a season of testing, it’s because He knows we’re ready to pass the test. We may have failed some of the pop quizzes along the way, but He teaches us through the stumbling and fumbling. We learn and grow.
I heard the Lord say:
“You are approaching the final exam, so do not faint in the day of adversity because I have strengthened you. And you will come to see that there was a purpose in the suffering and there was a purpose in the betrayals and there was a purpose in the setbacks.
“I am setting you up for greater success than you could even realize or understand because that is Who I am. I am seated far above the circle of the earth. I am looking down at you with a smile and I am singing songs of deliverance over you.
“So, do not despise the testing and do not despise the trials, but learn how to rejoice in My Spirit because when you do, you will praise your way through to victory.”
Go ahead and start rejoicing now because God always works all things together for the good, to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (see Romans 8:28). That’s you!
God will take what the enemy meant for harm and bring good out of it (see Genesis 50:20). God will turn the curse into a blessing if you keep your heart right (see Deuteronomy 23:5). These are promises that help you stand and withstand.
Don’t get anxious about the final exam. You will not fail. You were prepared for this moment, and you are positioned for an A-plus. You are positioned for victory. You are positioned for promotion. You are positioned in Christ.
Consider these scriptures: Proverbs 24:10; Psalm 32:7; 1 Peter 1:6
Let’s pray:
Father, in the name of Jesus, help me hold steady to Your Word as I approach this final example. Help me remember the lessons I learned through the trials and through the testing as I prepare to walk through this last test. Thank You that You have already given me the answers.
