Beware: This is the “Month of Mary.”
Many believers don’t realize that the warfare intensifies in certain seasons—and May is one of them. For many, it’s a month where things either break open—or break down. That’s not by accident. It’s by spiritual design. And if you don’t discern the battles that rage beneath the surface, you’ll walk blindly into demonic ambushes instead of walking boldly into divine breakthroughs.
We’re in a season of transition. What you pray now determines what you walk in next.
So don’t wait until the devil makes his move—make yours first.
Here are spiritual warfare prayers you must pray this May—not optional, not passive, not someday—but now. These prayers are Spirit-led, Scripture-backed, and warfare-tested.
1. Pray to Shut the Mouth of the Serpent
The whispers have increased. The lies are subtle—but deadly. The enemy is hissing in your ear to birth doubt, derail faith, and detour your destiny.
“You will trample upon lions and cobras; you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet.” (Psalm 91:13)
2. Pray to Cancel May Witchcraft
Witchcraft activity ramps up in the spring months. Rituals, curses, and hexes are released into the atmosphere—and if you’re not covered, you’re vulnerable.
“There is no enchantment against Jacob, no divination against Israel.” (Numbers 23:23)
3. Pray for Alignment with God’s Appointed Time
The enemy’s strategy in this season is delay. But God’s plan is acceleration.
“The sons of Issachar had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do.” (1 Chronicles 12:32)
4. Pray to Discern the Battle Behind the Battle
You’re not just fighting traffic, confusion, or fatigue. There’s a spiritual reason behind the natural resistance. The enemy’s goal is to wear you down before you rise up.
“We are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world.” (Ephesians 6:12)
5. Pray to Secure Your Borders
The enemy is looking for openings—compromise, disobedience, offense, weariness. Any crack becomes a legal access point.
6. Pray to Release Warring Angels
We don’t fight alone. When we pray, heaven backs us up.
“Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?” (Hebrews 1:14)
7. Pray to Possess the Gates of May
The enemy always tries to plant things at the gate of a new month—dread, distraction, defilement. But you’re the gatekeeper.
“Your descendants will possess the gates of their enemies.” (Genesis 22:17)
Don’t drift through this month hoping for the best. Pray with precision. War with wisdom. Stand with fire.
This May, you must pray—and pray like you mean it. Because this month could be the hinge for your next season of victory.
