Do not be afraid because what you see is not the end of your story.

By Kathi Pelton

The Spirit of the Lord showed me many people who were feeling dead inside or as if they’d been wrapped in grave clothes and put into a tomb. They cried out to Jesus but He didn’t come though or show up on time. As I saw these people I was suddenly taken into the story of Lazarus and his sisters, Mary and Martha. They had sent word to Jesus that their brother was sick and yet He did not hurry to come. Lazarus then died, was wrapped in grave clothes and put in the tomb where his body laid for four days before Jesus arrived. When Mary saw Him she fell at His feet and said,

“Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” John 11:32

I hear the same words in my spirit coming from people who have experienced the enemy and  thief that came to kill, steal and destroy them.

“Lord, if you had been here…”

Jesus wept with Martha and Mary because of his deep love and  compassion for their pain. He loved His friend, Lazarus but He knew all along what He was to do and when He was to do it.

Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance.  “Take away the stone,” he said.

“But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.”

Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”

So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.”

He will stretch out His hand of victory and be the help that you have cried out for. Do not be afraid because what you see is not the end of your story.  Your Lazarus moment is coming!

When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face.

Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”

John 11:38-44

Your story is not over! Though it seems that Jesus has delayed in coming when you prayed; what He will do for you will cause you to see the glory of God. He will raise you up and demand that the grave clothes are taken off of you. He will do for you what you cannot do for yourself and His glory will be seen.

Your resurrection is coming and the Resurrected King is right on time.

“Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

He will stretch out His hand of victory and be the help that you have cried out for. Do not be afraid because what you see is not the end of your story.  Your Lazarus moment is coming!
