As part of Awakening Prayer Hub’s 5050 Campaign, we’re praying for one state each week until election week 2024. It’s a critical time to pray for the United States and each state plays a role in the union. Join the campaign at www.awakeningprayerhubs.com/5050.

Known prophetically as the “Show Me Your Glory” State, Missouri is named after the Missouri Native American tribe. The states is home to the largest mammal in North America—the American bison—and is the top producer of mined lead in the U.S.

Author Samuel Clemens (better known as Mark Twain), inventor George Washington Carver, author T.S. Eliot, Molly Brown (known as the Unsinkable Molly Brown after surviving the R.M.S. Titanic tragedy), and former President Harry Truman were all born in Missouri.

Missouri today is rife with challenges. According to Brookings Institution Center, the spread of the national economic downturn to Missouri has depressed tax collections and increased the demand for social services, resulting in a troublesome state and local fiscal moment. This has highlighted pocketbook concerns and underscored that the state must make the most of limited resources.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and the Missouri Chamber of Commerce study found that Missouri misses an estimated $1.35 billion annually for the state’s economy, including a $280 million annual loss in tax revenue, due to childcare issues. Additionally, 28 percent of respondents reported that they or someone in their household has left a job, not taken a job, or greatly changed jobs because of problems with childcare in the last 12 months.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s most recent statistics, heart disease killed 14,579 Missourians in 2016; cancer killed another 12,696. These two disorders far surpass the other leading causes of death in Missouri. Then, of course, there are the same challenges in Missouri as other parts of the nation, such as high taxes, public education lacking, high crime rates in metropolitan areas, and drug abuse.

This week, Awakening Prayer Hubs is praying for Missouri.

Let’s pray:

Enter into identificational repentance of freemasonry involvement, occult activity, and blood sacrifices; racial injustice and slavery; idolatry; history of wars, civil war, and battles; sexual immorality.

Pray for a shift within the family structure of Missouri, that parents reflect the image of Christ and assume their rightful place as authority in the home.

Intercede for the high divorce, rape, domestic violence, murder, death and teen pregnancy rates; for restoration of the moral foundation within the family unit.

Pray that God's manifest presence would be established in the homes throughout Missouri, bringing healing and deliverance amongst the families.

Pray for the gift of repentance to fall upon the prisons and jails in the state, that all would turn from their sin toward the Lord.

Pray for those in Missouri held captive to secret societies and false religions to be loosed from all bondage and encounter the heart and love of the Father.

Declare revival fire will cleanse and purify the college campuses in Missouri, manifesting a great harvest in the state.

Pray school boards, superintendents, and educators stand for righteousness and truth in Missouri, where students are receptive and open to this atmosphere.

Pray for the education system as school boards look to reform education.

Plead the blood of Jesus over all school and university campuses across the state of Missouri. Pray for protection from any mass shootings taking place.

Pray for the protection of Missouri's bridge infrastructure.

Pray for continued exposure of misconduct and corruption for the purpose of restoration within the Missouri government.

Pray for the 2024 Missouri elections and for Christ-centered government officials who want to see the state's civil laws aligned with the Word of God.

Make intercession for all current state and local officials in Missouri, where righteous rulership would occupy the land.

Decree justice and righteousness are the foundation of Missouri.

Pray to come against all cyber-attacks seeking to infiltrate the government, businesses, and families of Missouri.

Pray to come against the anti-Christ and perversion spirits that have infiltrated the arts and entertainment within the state. Declare Kingdom reformers would arise on this mountain who are ambassadors in chains to the Gospel and stand for purity.

Pray for the business leaders to do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit but in humility to value the people of Missouri above themselves.

Call forth Kingdom-minded business leaders who bear the fruit of the Spirit and build for His glory.

Pray to come against the religious spirit; that the Church in Missouri would rise up in boldness, by fire, and not back down amidst the fight.

Pray the Church would ascend in the spirit upon the hill of the Lord with clean hands and pure heart.

Pray the Lord would open the eyes of the heart of the Church, that the Church would see with fresh eyes and prophetic perspective.

Pray for more intercessors and watchmen to arise in Missouri.

Decree the gates of hell will not prevail against the Ekklesia in the state.

Declare out of the heart of the Church of Missouri would flow rivers of living water.

Pray the media mountain reports truthfully, and voices of righteousness rise up to spread the Good News.

Pray for the Gospel to run swiftly through the state, with miracles, signs, and wonders abounding.

Pray for the exposure, dismantling, and uprooting of all terror cells in Missouri.

Ask God to send His angels of protection and war to surround the state.

Declare revival, awakening, and societal reformation on every mountain of influence in Missouri.
