Known prophetically as the “Pure Atmosphere State,” Montana’s economy today is dominated by agriculture, forestry, mining, energy production and services.

Native Americans were the first inhabitants of the area to become known as the state of Montana. The discovery of gold brought many prospectors into the area in the 1860s, and Montana became a territory in 1864. The rapid influx of people led to boomtowns that grew rapidly and declined just as quickly when the gold ran out.

Montana is often referred to as “Big Sky Country.” It’s known for abundant wildlife, skiing, Native American culture, huckleberries, mountains, famous battlefields, ranching, and long winters. Montana also has a danger element. In Montana, you have everything from grizzly bears, colliding with wildlife while driving, violent crime, and the potential of the Yellowstone volcano erupting.

Montana faces other challenges. The top issues of concern are state infrastructure projects and the lack of affordable housing. On top of that, one in 12 Montanians and 28,400 children face food insecurity—or hunger—in Montana. With Montana’s population increasing 22% since 2000 and vehicle traffic increasing 30% between 2000-and 2019, the transportation issues are real.

This week, Awakening Prayer Hubs is praying for Montana.

Let’s pray:

Repent for all abortion practices, covenant breaking of the Native Americans, past battles fought in the territory, and idolatry.

Pray for the reversal of abortion access in Montana.

Bind the spirit of death coming against this state and loose life over the land.

Decree justice and righteousness will be the foundation of Montana.

Declare restoration of Montana's healthcare system amidst any exposure to corruption and misconduct.

Pray for Montana's $2.5 billion budget surplus so that resources and funding for programs and initiatives will be provided to help the poor, oppressed, widowed, and orphaned.

Pray for righteous rulership of current government officials in Montana at the state and local levels.

Pray for the 2024 Montana elections, that the government officials elected are led by God's wisdom and revelation.

Pray the tongues of the wise would bring healing as truth is conveyed and voiced on the media mountain.

Pray for the exposure of demonic plans and for the uprooting of all terror cells throughout Montana.

Pray for the protection of all military bases and personnel in Montana.

Pray Montana's Kingdom business leaders would not be conformed to the greedy practices of the world, but would be transformed by the renewal of their mind, that by testing they may discern what is the will of God, what is good, acceptable, and perfect.

Pray for the families of Montana to choose this day whom they will serve, that as for them and their household, they would serve the Lord.

Pray the family unit would encourage one another and build each other up in the Father's love.

Ask God to heal, deliver, and comfort those who battle with their mental health, including suicide and depression.

Pray for the fentanyl crisis and other drug-related addictions – that deliverance would come forth and the people of Montana would put on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.

Pray for the educational system in Montana, for a spirit of boldness, wisdom, and knowledge to rest on the educators.

Pray that the Word of God and biblical values will be the foundation of all educational institutions in the state and that humanism will be eradicated from the minds of the students.

Plead the blood of Jesus over the schools and university campuses. Bless those who curse the children of God.

Pray the fire of the Holy Spirit would fervently burn in the believers' hearts and purify the Church in Montana.

Pray for laborers to be sent forth into the harvest field on every mountain of societal influence and for the Gospel to run swiftly through the state.

Ask God to send His angels to surround and protect the state.

Pray for all hidden treasures in Montana to spring forth in the natural and the spiritual.

Declare awakening and transforming revival throughout Montana.
