Do you want to know the secret to my success?

I invest in my education.

When I was a freelance writer—and a single mother and the sole breadwinner for the family—I learned quickly that newspaper reporters didn’t make much money. I didn’t have time to go back to college to learn copywriting or ghostwriting, so I educated myself.

I bought books on writing on subjects that would offer more pay, such as ghostwriting for CEOs, writing ad copy, and marketing emails. I also took courses on screenwriting and hired writing coaches.

As a result, I wrote scripts for TV, business plans for entrepreneurs, marketing campaigns for Microsoft, and more. I was one of the highest-paid writers in the freelance industry.

When I got saved, I did the same thing in the spirit. I went to conferences, purchased courses, books and CDs, and studied my Bible cover to cover. I invested in my spiritual growth. When I was just a few years old in the Lord, many people thought I’d been saved 20 years because of my spiritual maturity.

I published my first book on the prophetic when I was just six years old in the Lord and I had endorsements from major prophetic leaders like Bishop Bill Hamon and Graham Cooke. I eventually became senior editor of Charisma magazine and am now the author of well over 50 books.

But it started with self-education. If you want to grow in the things of the Spirit, you need to invest in yourself. I’ve found what Warren Buffet said to be true, “The more you learn, the more you earn.” But it’s not just money, it’s spiritual truth that leads to spiritual strength and spiritual prosperity.

Warren Buffett, one of the richest men in the world, also said, “Invest in as much of yourself if you can. You are your biggest asset by far.”
