Since the Hamas massacre of Israeli civilians on Oct. 7, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has reported a spike in antisemitic incidents across the United States.
ADL reports 312 antisemitic incidents between Oct. 7-23, 2023. Nearly 200 were directly linked to the war in Israel and Gaza.
All told, incidents of harassment, vandalism and assault increased by 388 percent over the same period last year, according to preliminary data from the ADL Center on Extremism.
“When conflict erupts in Israel, antisemitic incidents soon follow in the U.S. and globally,” said Jonathan Greenblatt, ADL CEO. “From white supremacists in California displaying antisemitic banners on highway overpasses to radical anti-Zionists harassing Jewish people because of their real or perceived support for the Jewish state, we are witnessing a disturbing rise in antisemitic activity here while the war rages overseas.”

Let’s pray:
Praise God that God, the Protector of Israel, never slumbers nor sleeps (see Ps. 121:4). Thank Him that He is a God of justice and righteousness. Thank Him that He is the God of covenant and it is impossible for Him to lie. Praise Him that His Word prospers for that which He sends it and never returns void.
Repent for any antisemitic thoughts in your mind or words of your mouth—including antisemitic jokes or off-color remarks. Repent of prejudices and bigotry toward the Jewish people.
Enter into identificational repentance on behalf of your family line, your city, state, and your nation for acts of violence and oppression towards Jewish people.
Repent on behalf of the Church where she has perpetuated the heresy of replacement theology. God’s plans and purposes for Israel and the Jewish people still stand.
Bind the spirit of hatred, fear, prejudice, and murder. Loose peace, protection, justice, and deliverance.
Pray for a halt to the spreading of lies and prejudices that fuel antisemitism—especially through media and educational institutions. Pray that truth would come to light in reporting; and that truth would silence lies, hate, and prejudice.
Pray that antisemitic groups would lose momentum; that their memberships would dwindle and their funding dry up.
Pray that false ideologies perpetuating prejudice be silenced in the name of Jesus. Pray especially for educational institutions that are shaping the worldview of young adults—that truth would prevail. Pray against the radicalization of the young adult generation against any people group, particularly the Jewish people.
Pray that any campaigns, plans, threats, or strategies against the Jewish people—whether from the hands of individuals, groups, or nations—are prevented or exposed before they can cause harm.
Pray for conviction and a deep heart transformation of those perpetuating hate against the Jewish people.
Pray for boldness to speak out against antisemitism wherever it may appear in our spheres of influence, knowing that God blesses those who bless the Jewish people, and punishes those who curse them (see Gen. 12:3).
Declare the blessing of the Father over the Jewish people—that they will be gathered from where they’ve been scattered; and that the Lord will make them dwell in safety.
Declare Jehovah is their God and they will fear Him forever. Decree the Lord’s everlasting covenant over them.
Pray God will not turn away from doing good to the Jewish people; that they will be planted in the land in faithfulness; and that the Lord will do good to them and restore their fortunes (see Jer. 32:37-44).
Decree blessing and protection over the Jewish people.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
