April is not just a month. It is an assignment.
In the biblical and Hebraic calendar, April is the month of Nisan — the first month, the King of Months. God Himself declared it: "This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you" (Exodus 12:2). Nisan is the month when kings go to war (2 Samuel 11:1). It is the month when Egypt fell. It is the month when the grave opened.
The enemy knows exactly what season this is. The question is whether you do.
If your prayers this April are passive petitions, you are showing up to a war with the wrong weapon. This month requires authoritative decrees. Strategic. Targeted. Specific.
Here is your warfare framework for April 2026.
The Mid-Point Attack Is Real
April opens the second quarter. You built momentum in Q1. You made declarations, took steps, launched things. And now, right on schedule, something feels stuck.
That is not coincidence. That is a spirit.
The enemy releases an assignment of heaviness and demonic delay specifically at the mid-point. His goal is to make you weary before the harvest. To make you conclude that what God told you to do is not working. To get you to pivot, quit, or coast into the second half of the year with nothing to show for the first.
Galatians 6:9 says, "And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart." The Greek word for "lose heart" is eklyo — to loosen, to relax your grip, to give out. That is precisely what the mid-point attack is designed to produce.
Don't loosen your grip.
Bind the spirit of delay. Rebuke every assignment of stagnation that attached itself to your momentum in Q1. Decree that what God started will not be aborted at the halfway mark.
War Against the Pharaoh Spirit
Passover begins this month. And with it, the spiritual atmosphere carries what I call the Exodus mandate.
This is the time to go to war against long-standing cycles of bondage. Not surface-level inconveniences — deep-rooted patterns. The kind that have followed your family for generations. The kind that keep showing up in your finances, your health, your relationships, no matter how many times you pray.
Exodus 12:12 tells us that God executed judgment against all the gods of Egypt. Not just Pharaoh. The gods — the spiritual powers behind the system. Every demonic entity that had claimed ownership over Israel's purpose, Israel's labor, Israel's future.
He is doing it again.
The Pharaoh spirit operates as a spirit of limitation and hard labor without fruit. You work, but the increase is swallowed. You build, but the walls don't stand. You pray, but the same cycles keep circling back. That is not the sovereignty of God. That is an assignment you are authorized to break.
Plead the blood. Apply it to the doorposts of your household the way Israel applied it in Goshen. What had the right to destroy them was commanded to pass over. You carry that same covenant.
The Year of the Vav: Nailing It Down
We are in Hebrew year 5786. This is the year of the Vav — the sixth letter of the Hebrew alphabet, represented by the symbol ו, meaning hook or nail.
In warfare, the Vav is significant. It is the nail. It is the connector between heaven and earth. When you make a decree in the year of the Vav, you are not just speaking words — you are driving a nail. You are fastening the victory of heaven into the reality of your earthly assignment.
The enemy knows this. His countermove is Leviathan — the twisting spirit whose specific assignment is to create disconnection between your vision and your reality. Between what God said and what you are experiencing. Between your decrees and their manifestation. Leviathan does not always come as full-blown pride. Sometimes it comes as subtle distortion. A slight twist. A crooked narrative about who you are or what God told you.
Colossians 2:14 says He wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, "nailing it to the cross." That is Vav language. The nail of the cross fastens every demonic plan into defeat.
This month, use your mouth like a nail. Drive the decrees of heaven into the ground of your assignment.
Guard the New Doors
Nisan is the New Year for kings. Whenever God initiates a new thing — and Isaiah 43:19 says He does — the enemy sends Jezebellian intimidation to make you shrink back from the new territory.
New book. New platform. New ministry assignment. New business. New season of influence. Whatever God opened for you in the last 90 days — the enemy wants you to walk away from it before it bears fruit.
The spirit of Jezebel does not always come as obvious attack. Sometimes it comes as the quiet inner voice that says, "Who do you think you are?" Sometimes it comes through a critical comment that lands too deep. Sometimes it comes as a sudden wave of fear right at the threshold of the new thing.
Do not shrink back. Hebrews 10:38 says, "Now the just shall live by faith; but if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him."
You are a king-priest (Revelation 1:6). You do not stand at new doors begging. You open them with authority. Isaiah 54:17 is your covering: "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn."
"I silence the voice of the accuser and the spirit of intimidation over my life. I will not shrink back from the doors God has opened. I put on the mantle of a king-priest and decree that no weapon formed against my new assignment, my new project, or my new platform shall prosper, in Jesus' name."
Your First Five Days Matter
Resurrection Sunday falls early in April this month. Use the first five days of the month as days of high-intensity intercession.
War specifically against anything the grave has been holding. Projects that stalled. Health that declined. Relationships that went cold. Assignments that seemed buried.
The Firstfruits principle applies here. When you give God the first of your day in prayer this month, you consecrate the entire 30-day cycle. You are not just praying for your morning — you are establishing the spiritual atmosphere for April.
Get up before the noise. Before the phone. Before the demands. Give Him the first, and watch what He does with the rest.
Your April Prayer Targets
Repent and renounce first. Before any decree, acknowledge where fear, passivity, or unbelief have been operating. Renounce agreement with the spirit of delay. Renounce the lie that your momentum is finished. Renounce every inner vow made in a moment of weariness.
Then war.
Pray against generational cycles and command the gods of Egypt to release your lineage (Exodus 12:12). Pray against Lashon Hara — the evil tongue — and bind gossip and accusation released against your name (Matthew 5:37). Decree that the power to get wealth is activated over your Kingdom assignment (Deuteronomy 8:18). Uproot every seed of anxiety and unholy pressure from your mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
April is the King of Months. Kings go to war in Nisan.
It is time to go.
