The Role of the Intercessor: Standing at the Gates Where are the watchmen? Who is standing guard? Who is discerning the battle at the gates of our nations?
There is a gatekeeper anointing God is releasing in this hour—a mantle for those who will watch, weep, and war at the entry points of influence. These aren’t just intercessors; they are spiritual security systems who confront darkness before it can enter and corrupt.
As spiritual gatekeepers, our role is clear:
Discern what spirits are trying to access our nations.
Shut the gates to perversion, deception, and destruction.
Open the gates to righteousness, revival, and glory.
What Can We Do? Here are some specific calls to action for intercessors:
Pray Over Border Gates: Many nations are under siege from both spiritual and physical invasion.
Pray for angelic guard over your national borders: Decree Psalm 91 over cities being overwhelmed.
War for the Gates of Government: Intercede that only righteous laws and godly leaders are allowed to enter positions of power. Expose demonic gatekeepers in political seats and declare their removal.
Anoint the Gates of Your City: If you’re led, go on prayer walks to the gates—government buildings, schools, courts, and even media outlets. Plead the blood. Declare Psalm 24:7. Invite the King of Glory in.
Fast and Pray for the Gatekeepers to Rise: Many are called but don’t realize it. Pray that God would awaken and mobilize those called to guard the gates—pastors, prophets, educators, and even marketplace leaders.
Final Word: The Battle is at the Gates We are living in one of the most spiritually strategic seasons in recent memory. The decisions made at the gates of nations in the next few years will define the trajectory of entire continents.
