Known prophetically as the “Open Heavens” state, Oklahoma is a critical player in the United States. Oklahoma is a major energy hub, with abundant oil and natural gas reserves. The state's energy sector not only fuels the nation but also plays a crucial role in global markets.
What’s more, Oklahoma's agriculture, particularly wheat, cattle, and dairy production, makes it a vital contributor to America's food supply. The state's strategic location also makes it a transportation crossroads.
Oklahoma is celebrated for its rich Native American heritage. It is home to 39 federally recognized tribes, each with its unique culture and traditions. The state’s history is deeply intertwined with Native American history, and it hosts numerous cultural festivals and museums that preserve and promote this heritage.
The state is also famous for its contributions to music. Legends like Woody Guthrie and Garth Brooks hail from Oklahoma hail from Oklahoma. Oklahoma's natural beauty, from the Great Plains to the Ozark Mountains, offers a diverse range of outdoor activities and scenic wonders.
Despite its many strengths, Oklahoma faces several challenges. One of the most pressing issues is its vulnerability to natural disasters, particularly tornadoes. Known as part of “Tornado Alley,” Oklahoma experiences frequent and severe tornadoes, which pose significant risks to lives and property.
Economically, while the energy sector has been a boon, it also brings volatility. Fluctuations in oil and gas prices can lead to economic instability and job losses. Moreover, the state struggles with high rates of poverty and inadequate healthcare, affecting the overall well-being of its residents.
Education is another area of concern. Oklahoma has faced funding cuts and teacher shortages, impacting the quality of education available to its children. Addressing these educational challenges is crucial for the state’s future prosperity.
This week, Awakening Prayer Hubs is praying for Oklahoma.
Let’s pray:
Identificationally repent of violence, history of battles fought in the territory, racial injustice, history of slavery, covenant breaking, idolatry, and occult practices.
Pray for the Church in Oklahoma to walk in wisdom toward unbelievers, redeeming the time; letting their speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that they may know how they ought to answer each one.
Pray the Church would walk in boldness and power.
Pray that the Word of the Lord would run swiftly through the state.
Pray for an increase of militant intercessors to rise up in Oklahoma who operate by Matthew 11:12, “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.”
Pray to come against the religious spirit and for the Church in Oklahoma to be fervent in spirit who want to burn and shine.
Pray every sector of media in Oklahoma would speak the truth in love.
Pray for the Oklahoma state government, for righteous rulership, who recognize of the increase of His government and of peace there shall be no end.
Pray for the 2024 elections in Oklahoma, for leaders to be placed in office who walk in the fear of the Lord that will shift and positively affect every branch of government in the state.
Declare justice and righteousness will be the foundation of Oklahoma.
Pray for the uprooting of all terror cells.
Ask God to release angels of protection to surround the state.
Pray drug trafficking networks in Oklahoma would be disassembled and for justice to be served.
Pray Oklahoma's education system continues to re-introduce biblical truth on school campuses across the entire state.
Pray for open heavens over the university campuses in Oklahoma.
Pray the families of Oklahoma would not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
Pray for love to abound on the family mountain in this state.
Speak life and healing over the families and the land.
Pray for those in Oklahoma held captive to Freemasonry to be loosed from the bondage and encounter the love of the Father.
Pray as the small businesses, large corporations, and the state's agriculture commit their work to the Lord, their plans will be established.
