Known prophetically as the “Deliverance” State, Wyoming's importance to the United States lies primarily in its vast natural resources. The state is a major producer of coal, natural gas, and oil, making it a critical player in the nation’s energy sector.

Wyoming’s coal mines are some of the most productive in the country, and its natural gas fields contribute significantly to the national supply. This energy production is essential for meeting the nation’s energy demands and supporting economic stability.

Wyoming is renowned for its outdoor recreation and tourism industry. The state is home to two of the nation’s most iconic national parks: Yellowstone and Grand Teton. These parks attract millions of visitors annually, contributing to the local and national economy through tourism.

The state is also famous for its cowboy culture and Western heritage. Rodeos, such as Cheyenne Frontier Days, celebrate this legacy and draw visitors from around the country. The state’s history is deeply intertwined with the American West, and it is reflected in its art, music, and traditions.

Wyoming's low population density and wide-open spaces offer a unique way of life. The state's small towns and communities are known for their close-knit feel and strong sense of independence. This rural lifestyle appeals to those seeking a connection with nature and a slower pace of life.

Despite its many strengths, Wyoming faces several challenges. One of the most pressing issues is economic diversification. The state's heavy reliance on the energy sector makes it vulnerable to fluctuations in commodity prices. Population decline is another significant challenge. Wyoming’s low population and remote location make it difficult to attract and retain residents, particularly young people.

This week, Awakening Prayer Hubs is praying for Wyoming.

Let’s pray:

Repent of idolatry, robbing God, covenant breaking, sexual immorality, and the shedding of innocent blood.

Pray as believers in Wyoming open up their mouths, the Lord would fill it (Psalm 81:10)

Pray for the Church to go forth in the power of the Holy Spirit with the Word of God in her mouth with miracles, signs, and wonderings following (Acts 1:8).

Declare Isaiah 61 over the Church in Wyoming.

Pray the Church recognizes her authority in Jesus as kings and priests in the land (Revelation 1:6; Job 22:28; Revelation 5:8; 8:3-5)

Pray for the Gospel to run swiftly and the harvest to be receptive to how the Holy Spirit is moving through Wyoming on all seven mountains of societal influence.

Pray for bold, redemptive truth-tellers called to the media sectors of Wyoming to be filled with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship (Exodus 31:3)

Pray for business leaders in Wyoming who recognize better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than a rich man who is perverse in his ways (Proverbs 28:6).

Pray for righteous rulership of current Wyoming government officials who are led by truth and revelation.

Pray for the 2024 Wyoming and presidential elections, for elected officials serve the Lord in wisdom, with reverential awe, and rejoice with trembling (Psalm 2:10-11)

Pray the state of Wyoming passes a total abortion ban.

Pray the families in Wyoming are united as one, of one heart and one soul, rooted in the Father's love (Acts 4:32; Romans 8:14-17)

Pray for healing and restoration of relationships within the family mountain.

Ask God to send His angels of protection to surround the state.

Pray for the exposure, dismantling, uprooting of all terror cells and drug trafficking networks in Wyoming.

Pray for the Bible, biblical values, and prayer to be incorporated back into the education system of Wyoming.

Declare revival, awakening, and societal reformation throughout the state of Wyoming.
