Check out my new course, Developing Prophetic Boldness, and become holy bold for the Lord.
When I was younger in the prophetic and prayer ministry, I was timid. I was not bold and didn’t know how to find the boldness to step out and pray or prophesy boldly.
I remember my first mentor in the prophetic told me that I needed to start praying for boldness if God was ever going to get glory out of me as a mouthpiece. I was timid. But God does not give us a spirit of timitidy, but of power, love and a sound mind.
What is boldness? Boldness means:
- Fearless before danger
- Showing or requiring a fearless daring spirit
- Boldness is bravery, courage and fearlessness
Many of you now are like I was. You’re timid while speaking the word of the Lord or praying public.
What is timidity? Timid means:
- Lacking courage or self-confidence
- Lacking in boldness or determination
- Fearful, feeble and nervous
We need bold prophets and intercessors in this hour.
The New Testament believers were bold and it showed:
Acts 4:13: “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus”
Acts 4:29-30 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”
Ephesians 6:18-20, praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
We never want to confuse holy boldness with rudeness or harshness. We want the boldness that comes from God.
Let’s pray:
