Prayers to Resist the Voice of Offense

Prayers to Resist the Voice of Offense

Get the new e-course, Waging War on Offense, here.

Derek Prince used to say demons are persons without bodies. Well, if a demon is a person without a body then it has a voice.

Offense has a particularly subtle voice and once you give an ear to it, it becomes a very loud, incessant voice.

1 Peter 5:9 tells us, “Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset—rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined], knowing that the same (identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world.”

We all have the opportunity to get offended many times a day.

If we don’t resist the voice of offense quickly, we’ll fall into its snare and we’ll start attacking others. The enemy essentially weaponizes us against people we love, or sometimes people we don’t know.

Offense is one of the most dangerous weapons coming against the end times church and too many Christians are giving ear to it.

In His Olivet discourse on the end times, Jesus said these words in Matthew 24:9-11, “And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.”

That’s intense. We need to resist the voice of offense, which sometimes speaks through other people to snare us.
