It’s the time of the watchman—and the remnant must respond.

The Spirit of the Lord is issuing a clarion call in this hour: “Watchmen, arise!” Heaven is summoning those with eyes to see and ears to hear to take their place on the wall once again. This is not a general call—it’s a strategic commissioning for the times in which we live.

We are in a moment of massive transition in the earth. Kingdoms are shaking. Nations are raging. Jezebel is slithering through government gates. Witchcraft is rising like a flood. But God is raising up a remnant army of watchmen to stand, see, and sound the alarm before the enemy breaches the gates.

It is the time of the watchman. And if the watchmen do not arise, the enemy will gain an upper hand in our cities and nations as he roams in without resistance.

This month, our prayer theme at Awakening Prayer Hubs is calling forth the watchman, which are critical in this hour.

What Is a Watchman?

A watchman is not simply an intercessor. A watchman is a prophetic guardian—one who stands between heaven and earth to intercept demonic strategies, announce divine movements, and protect territories, families, and destinies through revelation and prayer.

In Isaiah 62:6–7, the Lord says:

“I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem;
They shall never hold their peace day or night.
You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent,
And give Him no rest till He establishes
And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.”

This is not a passive position. This is a call to relentless, watchful, governmental intercession.

Why Do We Need the Watchmen Now?

1. Because the Enemy Has Upgraded His Surveillance

Just as monitoring spirits prowl through churches, families, and cities, so too must the watchmen rise with heightened discernment and spiritual intelligence. We cannot fight 2025 battles with 1995 tactics.

2. Because We Are on the Brink of Global Unraveling or Awakening

The line is razor-thin. Watchmen hold the tension between judgment and mercy, destruction and deliverance. Without their intervention, darkness rushes in unchecked.

3. Because Many Intercessors Are Sleeping

Matthew 25 speaks of ten virgins—five wise and five foolish—but all of them were asleep when the bridegroom came. In this season, we need awakened warriors, not spiritual sleepwalkers.

4. Because the Next Generation Needs Covering

Satan is targeting our children with perversion, confusion, and indoctrination. Where are the watchmen at the gates of the schools? At the borders of their cities? If we don’t take our posts, we forfeit our ground.

What Do Watchmen Do?

1. See what others miss.
2. Warn when danger approaches.
3. War with precision prayer and prophetic insight.
4. Align with heaven’s agenda, not human opinion.
5. Preserve the purposes of God in people, places, and seasons.

The Alarm Is Sounding

The enemy is not holding back. Neither can we. Watchmen are God’s early-warning system. When they take their place, cities are spared. Families are protected. Nations are preserved.

Let’s Pray:

1. Father, awaken every sleeping watchman in the nations and shake them into divine alertness.
2. Lord, set a fire in the hearts of Your watchmen to burn away complacency and ignite holy urgency. 
3. We decree divine repositioning—every watchman out of place, get in place now!
4. Lord, restore spiritual sight to blinded watchmen and remove every veil of deception or distraction.
5. We bind the spirit of slumber and declare that the watchmen will not be silent day or night.
6. Raise up new watchmen in regions where the walls are unguarded and the gates are vulnerable.
7. Let the roar of the watchmen drown out the whispers of witchcraft and dismantle demonic surveillance.
8. Father, anoint the watchmen with discernment to identify enemy movements before they strike.
9. We release a prophetic trumpet blast over the nations—let the watchmen sound the alarm without fear or delay.
10. Lord, break intimidation off every watchman and release boldness to confront what must be confronted.
11. We call back the wounded watchmen and declare supernatural healing to their minds, spirits, and bodies.
12. Father, set intercessory watchmen over government gates, school gates, and family gates to stand in the gap.
13. Let a holy burden fall on Your watchmen to weep between the porch and the altar for revival and repentance.
14. We decree that the watchmen will rise in unity, not isolation—strengthening the wall together.
15. Lord, commission the next wave of global watchmen through Awakening Prayer Hubs and release fresh mantles now.
