God will fight for you!

In my hearing, “your time in the secret place will protect you from the secret counsel of men.” (Psalm 91).
A few months back, I was roused out of my sleep from a rather odd dream. I won’t get into the full details because it’s long but I’ll share the gist of the dream. In the dream, I was allowed to see a secret conversation happening within a secret Facebook group page and not only did I see the conversation – I saw the persons having it.
I remember sitting there wondering why am I seeing this and then it became clear – the conversation included me and someone’s subtle plan to discredit my character by planting seeds of quote-unquote warning about me. Towards the end of the dream – I was confronted about certain ones I’m connected with: I was even accused of being illegally connected to one person – my immediate response was confusion, guilt, then shame then the need to apologize and then that all stopped and I did something I rarely do – I asked them to explain. I asked how this could be wrong when my husband approves, my spiritual father/apostolic covering approves, GOD approves because HE provided the money and on top of that it wasn’t something I was trying to do. GOD sent a WORD through a prophet commanding my obedience and I obeyed. At that point I was awakened with that question – How is it illegal as they stood there saying nothing.
As I was awakened I immediately recognized one thing – the enemy is up to his same tactics with me (guilt, shame, intimidation and fear of letting others down). There are so many layers to this dream – but the one I feel led to share is this.
When you’re a worshipper – the secret counsels of men will be revealed to you and GOD will protect you from them. We see this happen with the King of Israel in II Kings 6. Every time the King of Syria tried to ambush the King of Israel, the prophet Elisha would send a word. It got so bad the King thought there was a spy in the camp. There was a spy – it, however, was no man it was the SPIRIT of the LORD.
In considering the dream I am thankful for growth. Normally I would have cried all day and wondered what I did. It doesn’t matter because even though I saw who it was – I understand my war is not against those holding secret counsel and questioning what I’m doing. My war is with the accuser. And as long as I stay in the PRESENCE of the KING – the secret counsel and accusations of the enemy cannot bind me, harm me, stop me or even cause me to feel guilt over the GLORY of GOD in my life. And I encourage you to develop the same strength. Do not fear the secret counsel of men.
In Psalm 64:2 David prayed the LORD hide him from the secret counsel of the wicked. How did he know about the secret counsel? He was a worshipper and his time in the secret place kept him aware but his response wasn’t to run – he prayed, he worshipped more, he dug in deeper into the PRESENCE of GOD. And I encourage you to do the same.
When you get wind of the secret counsel pray for them because it’s a hard thing when you hear GOD say I will take care of your enemies. That’s nothing to get happy about – PRAY and trust your position in HIS presence will cover you every time. Finally, don’t focus on what’s revealed – focus instead on the ONE with the power to shelter you from what’s been revealed and pray for those plotting, scheming and planning against you. Give them the compassion and mercy they are failing to show you. Show them the LOVE of CHRIST and let them deal with the FATHER on the rest.

If we let Him alone like this, everyone will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and nation.” And one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said to them, “You know nothing at all, nor do you consider that it is expedient for us that one man should die for the people, and not that the whole nation should perish.” Now this he did not say on his own authority; but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation, and not for that nation only, but also that He would gather together in one the children of God who were scattered abroad.
