(By Hakeem Collins) Psalm 19:1-4 “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words, whose VOICE is not heard. Their VOICE goes out through all the earth and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun.”

The above passage of Scripture is saying that there is no speech, nor words that your voice will not be heard. In other words it doesn’t matter what language you speak, your voice will not be silenced and it will reach nations of the world to declare the message of the King and His Kingdom for others to see the glory of the Lord. God is saying that your voice carry influence that will reach all the earth and your words will reach the ends of the world. Your voice will be like a fishing line that will convert and impact nations in the seasons of the Lord.

The Bible says “the voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the Lord thunders over the mighty waters” (Ps. 29:3-4) speaking of people, nations, cultures and languages. Have you ever been in a place where you could not speak? Or have you been hoarse unable to talk because your vocal cords are strained?

Have you ever been in a place where you had something to say but were silenced by others? Or you needed to be heard and no wanted to hear what you had to say? This type of result can be very frustrating. To have a hoarse voice is an abnormal change in your voice caused by disorder in the vocal cords of the voice box. It is also a lost or hindrance of your voice. God wants to give your voice back.

A person’s voice gives them their own unique identity. Everyone has a different type of sound and voice. Some are deeper than others, high pitched than others whether male or female. One’s voice has with it a unique sound. The most familiar voice we know is the voice of your parents or guardians. God has a voice!

The most common and consistent voice that God used was the voice through people—THE PROPHETS! The prophets were considered the mouthpiece of God. They were recognized as God’s ambassadorial voices in the earth. God used prophets to release His mind, will, intent and agenda to His people.

There are instances in the Bible that God’s voice sounded and was spoken through the many waters, thunder, wind, fire, earthquake, angels, dreams and visions. In a person’ voice you can hear compassion, love, concerns, authority and power. God’s uses the voice of humans more frequently because it takes on a personal essence and dynamic for others to receive and relate to.

A voice through a person is more easily received than hearing the voice of God through thunder. There was a time in the Bible where the people wanted to hear God’s voice through Moses the prophet (Ex. 20:19).

Your voice gives you the ability to articulate, communicate and relate to the hearer. The definition of voice is “the sound produced by the vocal organs of a vertebrate, especially of human beings in speaking, shouting, and singing; also the faculty or power of uttering sounds through the mouth by the controlled expulsion of air or speech.” The prophetic sound in the earth will be heard through prophetic people who will speak for God.

The sound of the Lord would be heard through the voices of God’s prophets. God wants to use your mouth, lips, tongue and voice. If you are spirit-filled and want to speak on the behalf of the Lord through the gift of prophecy, you can through the Holy Spirit. The Bible says John 1:23 that John the Baptist was a voice of one crying in the wilderness.

God will raise up in every generation kingdom voices who will have a different sound, voice, tone, style, language and speech. They will be prophetic voices with heaven's cry and burden to see a move of God in the earth as it is in heaven and make straight that which is crooked. In other words they will be voices of destiny, justice, purpose and righteousness.

When spirit filled believer prophesy, preach, teach, sing and minister, it will be as God is speaking, preaching, teaching, singing and ministering through you. God is interested in using your own voice to convey His heartbeat to those you will impact.

I Peter 4:11 NLT, “Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you…”

This Scripture above is basically saying that you can speak as God is speaking through you if you possess the gift of speaking. Every believer is admonished to desire to prophesy. There are those who do not like their own voice or the way they sound but look at it this way, God made your voice. He knows how it sounds and wants it to stand out for others to recognize it.

There are many leaders, preachers and ministers who sound just like each others in their preaching or teaching dynamics which can be learned or duplicated. For example, if you close your eyes and listen to Bishop T.D Jakes or Joel Osteen you can recognize their unique voices without seeing them. They have a  distinct in recognizable sound (voice). Are you an echo or a recognizable voice?

The definition of an “echo” means in structure and content of one speaker's utterance by another or a person who slavishly repeats the words or opinions of another. An echo is a person I would liken to a parrot who repeats what they hear but carries not personal conviction or understanding by divine revelation what is being uttered but a “voice” by definition means a person's larynx and uttered through the mouth, as speech or song or the supposed utterance of a guiding spirit, typically giving instructions or advice.

We can see that John the Baptist was a “voice” of one crying aloud in the wilderness. The prophetic voices that God is raising up will be voices that a distinct sound and will give voice to heaven decrees and release the wisdom, counsel, will and intent of the Father. God is not raising up echoes but voices of reformation, revival, change and hope.

The prophetic voices God is using in this kairos (opportune, appointed) season will bring God's people into their divine season of opportunity. The prophets and prophetic voices God is dispatching today will be voices that will bring revolutionary change to advance the kingdom of God. God desire to speak through you and give voice to what He wants to do here and now in the earth.

Amos 3:7 NIV, says “Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.”

We can see where God needs His plans and secrets disclosed and revealed through His prophetic servants who are called and commissioned by Heaven to give voice to what God is doing and going to do. Let the voices of truth, life and breakthrough be trumpeted and echoes of chaos, confusion, division, deception be silenced! There are a lot of echoes but not a lot of true prophetic voices Be the unique voice in your generation that God wants to use.
