Are you operating in His anointing upon your life?

Recently, during our Sunday service, the Lord gave me a vision and a prophecy to go along with it. In the vision, I saw mantles falling from heaven. It was like the person of the Holy Spirit walked into the room and was handing out mantles to everyone in the room. The following prophecy came forth, “The Lord is handing out individual mantles. The mantles of Deborah, Esther, Hannah, and Anna are being released. The Lord is mantling His women and calling them to rise up for such a time as this. Many have been in a season of preparation like Esther, but now in this kairos moment, God is releasing His mantle over lives to accomplish the task at hand.
This vision and prophetic word reminded me of the account of Elijah being taken to Heaven in 2 Kings 2. Elisha, Elijah's disciple, asked a hard thing of His mentor Elijah before God took him up by a whirlwind to heaven. He asked for a double portion of the anointing and Elijah's response was “If you see me when I go up, you shall surely receive it.” Elisha's request was granted, and He indeed saw Elijah taken up in a chariot of fire.
Elijah's mantle fell to the ground, and Elisha took it. Many of you may be wondering what is a mantle? A mantle in the old covenant was a loose outer garment that the prophet wore. With it came the authority and supernatural power of God released through the prophet to function in that office. For example, part of the supernatural manifestation through the mantle God gave Elijah was miracles. Elijah performed many miracles such as raising the dead, multiplying oil, and healing the sick. Elisha received a double portion and did double the miracles than his predecessor. Today, God still clothes us with His mantle and His anointing that is specifically tailored for us.
Right now, God is releasing mantles out of heaven! I can see them falling as in Elijah's day. Do you see them? Do you see the mantle that God is specifically releasing on your life? A sign you are in tune with the Holy Spirit is that you see the mantle falling from Heaven. Elisha was hungry to receive the double portion from his spiritual father Elijah, and he indeed saw it when it fell, and he took up the mantle. Now is the time for you to take up the mantle that the Holy Spirit is handing out! Open your eyes to see and say, “God I receive your mantle for my life!”
After receiving Elijah's mantle, Elisha tested the mantle to be sure it was activated in his life. You and I must do the same. It is not enough to receive the mantle and do nothing with it, but we must exercise the power of God after being clothed in the mantle. This was a sign to Elisha and all the prophets that the God of Elijah was with him. Now that you have received the mantle God has for you, test the mantle! Release His power!
