Many have walked in dry, dry, dry seasons. Dry like the desert. Dry like the wilderness. There hasn’t even been a brook flowing through the place where you are standing. You’re parched. You’re so parched in your mouth it’s hard to pray or even form the words. You’ve been alone but the Lord wants you to know you’re not abandoned.
Just as the Holy Spirit was with Jesus in the wilderness, and with Him in the garden of Gethsemane, the Holy Spirit is with you in your temptation and in your agony.
I heard the Lord say:
“I am with you in the garden. And yes, there’s an enemy in the garden and there’s an enemy of your soul. But I have strengthened you and I have made you able to stand and withstand when the demonic winds descend upon you.
“When the demonic winds descend upon your household I am able to lead you through into victory, if you’ll just follow Me. I am your prize. I am your great reward so look at Me. Gaze upon My beauty for I will reward you with revelation. I will reward you with a sense of My presence that you cannot deny.
“For I have victory in mind for you. I’ve not got defeat in My mouth for you, but My words, they bless you and they encourage you. So, get in My Word. Don’t wait for another prophetic word, get in My Word and I will give you a rhema. Get in My word and I will cause it to bring life into your weary soul. Study, meditate, chew on it and it will fill you. It will satisfy your soul.
“Gaze upon Me. See Me in your circumstances because I am working in them. Do you think I am not working in them? Do you think the enemy is the only one working in your circumstances? I am working them out together for your good, so would you love Me? Would you just love Me when everything evil seems to be descending upon you? Would you just trust Me? Would you just hold onto Me? Would you press into Me? When everything seems to be going wrong, would you stop rejecting Me and blaming and accusing Me? Have I not shown Myself trustworthy?
“Have I not come through for you in the past? Did I not deliver you out of darkness? What else would I not deliver you out of? Would you just keep going because you love Me? Would you let Me love you?
“Would you stop running from Me when things get hard and start running to Me because I’m here with outstretched arms, waiting on you as if you’re the only one that exists. I have dove’s eyes for you. My eyes gaze upon you. You are the apple of My eye. Would you just look at Me? Would you just focus on Me? Would you just trust Me?”
Meditate on these Scriptures:
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled (Matthew 5:6).
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).
O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You
in a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water (Psalm 63:1)
Let’s pray:
Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You, that You are always with me even when I feel dry as a bone. Remind me to prophesy Your life and Your strength over myself. Remind me to encourage myself in the Lord, like David did. Remind me to let You water my heart.
