Are you desperately seeking a job? God can give you favor and grace to land in the right place. You don’t have to settle for a job that’s not designed for you, but you do need to be persistent in prayer and knocking on doors until God opens one.
I heard the Lord say:
“In the moment, fear has begun to plague you because you don’t think that you can go back to where you were, and you’ve been taking on jobs that are less than. I have a promotion in mind for you, but you must stop being afraid. And you must go and apply for those jobs that are more suited to what I’ve called you to instead of cowering down and taking the lesser. Shake off the fear and shake off the shame because I am calling you upward.”
Remember, give God something to bless. Keep putting in the applications to the jobs that excite you. Although you may have to take a temporary placement as a stop gap, keep this in mind: God is your provider and the temporary job is a stepping-stone that leads to greater blessings. And who knows what divine connection may come out of what seems like a stepping-stone?
Meditate on these scriptures:
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want (Psalm 23:1).
The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing (Psalm 34:10).
Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you (Matthew 6:30-33).
Let’s pray:
Father, in the name of Jesus, help me to stop worrying about tomorrow—or the next week or the week after that. Strengthen me to continue standing on Your Word when things are lean. Give me strategies for increase in my household. I know that You have given me the power to create wealth to establish Your covenant in the earth. Teach me to tap into that power so I can have a testimony of Your provision in my time of famine.
