Sometimes it seems there’s a storm all around you and everything is shaking–including your soul. The good news is, even though these feelings are very real you are a citizen of an unshakeable Kingdom.
Hebrews 12:18 testifies to this truth: “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.” Every false kingdom will be shattered, but God is able to make you stand.
If you feel shaky in your emotions, consider these words. I heard the Lord say:
“I am your anchor. I am the structure of your life. And when you build upon Me, and when you walk upon Me and with Me and for Me, I am able to make the shaky places stable. I am able to make those parts of your soul, which in past seasons have caused you to self-sabotage, stable.
“You’ll be able to walk and keep on walking. Even when things begin to shake, you won’t shake. Even when things begin to rumble, and you feel like you’re going to stumble, I am able to make you continually walk on an even keel. I am the One who will take your hand and I will even put you on My back if I have to.”
“But you must believe Me because your day of crossing over has drawn to a close. In this day, you will walk with Me to a place that you have never known; that you’ve never experienced; that you’ve always wanted to go to. But you have to surrender. You have to say ‘Yes. I will do it. I will let go of my fear.’”
Read that again. It will calm your soul. Be still and know that He is God.
