They were beside themselves because they had been touched with the divine life. If the Most High God touches you, you will be beside yourself. As long as you hold your own, the natural and the spiritual will be mixed. But if ever you jump over the traces by the power of the new creation, you will find He has got hold of you.

Available on digital and streaming outlets since March 8th it was recorded at Planetshakers Conferences in the Philippines and Malaysia in January, and was produced, written, mixed and sung by Planetshakers’ Joth Hunt. It also became an encouragement to this multi-talented worship leader through his battle with cancer.“I’ve seen other people go through this, but never thought it would happen to me,” confesses Joth, who learned of his condition just prior to the start of the Planetshakers tour of Asia this past January. “It wasn’t great timing. I feel so called to go to Asia, but this was a roadblock, something that was planning to stop me from going.”A doctor told Joth that he would need surgery to remove a cancerous tumor, and that he would be bedridden for at least two weeks, which would mean missing the tour. After breaking the news to his wife, together the couple decided to believe for a miracle. “It was at that moment that I began to seek God, put on worship in my headphones, and declared that God is able to make a way when there seems no way,” which is the very declaration the song “Only Way” makes – a song Joth wrote just before finding out he had cancer.

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. (PSALM 103:1)Merely saying the words, Bless the Lord, doesn’t necessarily “bless” the Lord. There’s much more to blessing Him than simply saying those words. Blessing the Lord is ministering to Him. When you say from your heart, “Father, I love You. You’re a good God!” it blesses Him. The prophets and teachers in Antioch “ministered to the Lord” in Acts 13:2. They weren’t preaching at Him or exhorting Him to repent. They were praising, worshiping, and loving Him. Anyone who loves has a need to be loved in return. If the object of your love doesn’t love you back, it’s miserable. God is love, and He loves you. (1 John 4:8.) When you love Him, it blesses and ministers to Him!I took my boys and some of their friends out one Saturday when they were about five and seven years old. We spent all day riding horses, playing in the creek, and eating junk food (a special treat while away from Mom). At the end of the day, I cleaned them up and put them to bed after having devotions together. As I turned out the light and was leaving the room, my youngest said, “Dad, you’re a good dad!” That blessed me! He didn’t say, “Bless you, Dad!” but he communicated “Thanks!” and “I love you!” in his own way. It made me want to drag him right out of that bed to go horseback riding all over again!That’s the way it is with your heavenly Father. You may not realize it, but God needs ministry. Pray, “Father, You’re a good dad and an awesome God! Thank You for my health, for letting me live here in this country, for my opportunities, and for my job.” Instead of cursing your life and making it worse, thank Him that it’s as good as it is. God will be so blessed by your love and worship that He’ll want to drag you out of bed and give you everything He can think of to bless you! It’ll just come upon and overtake you. All these other people will still be begging and pleading with God for these things that are just flowing in your life because you love Him.

How could the One who inspired every word written in both the Old and New Testaments not be found in the same?I love the Holy Spirit, and I never tire of talking about Him. I’ll never forget the day He touched my life. I was never to be the same again. I am forever ruined for anything less than the majesty of His presence. I’m driven by a holy obsession with the Spirit. Since the moment He first befriended me, I have sought to be a better friend to Him; I have sought to know His mind, power, and nature. Hungry to know more about the Person of the Holy Spirit, I asked Him to teach me. I told Him, “Teach me everything! I don’t want to miss a thing about You!”I had been faithful to steward all of the beautiful revelations the Lord had given me before—revelations concerning the Holy Spirit. I wrote them in books. I preached them in sermons. I taught them in lessons. I prayed them in prayers. I recorded them in both audio and video media. And the more I talked about the Holy Spirit, the more I realized that there was more to know. Sometimes, right in the middle of me preaching, the Holy Spirit would give me whispered instructions, spontaneous glimpses about His Person. Just when I thought that I had discovered all there was to discover about Him, I would find more—much more. Dear reader, the well of revelation will never run dry. There’s that much to Him.
