In the wake of a trio of national headline-making events in Orlando—the gay nightclub massacre, Christian singer Christina Grimmie's murder and the alligator attack that killed a toddler at a Disney resort—prophetic voices in the nations are praying hard. Many are pressing in to discern what confederate of spirits has marked Orlando—the city in which I was born, went to college and met my daughter's father and where my parents still reside—for destruction.

I agree it's important to discern the enemy's attack. Surely, we need to understand what spirits are operating in a city that Cindy Jacobs prophesied last year would be in the eyes of the nation in 2016. It's vital not to be ignorant of the enemy's devices (2 Cor. 2:11). Yet many of the strongholds along the I-4 Corridor—which connects Orlando to Tampa, Florida—have been in place for a decade or more. It doesn't take a prophet to see the princes over Orlando.

The winds blew and the rains fell on TheCall Aszua Now, but that didn't stop tens of thousands of people from weathering the storms at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the same venue where Billy Graham preached the gospel to over 134,000 in 1963. 

If anything, the adversity intensified the determination of the masses to cry out to God in what became for 15 hours an outdoor house of prayer in the heart of California. 

“William Seymour, the catalyst of that great revival, prophesied in 1913 that in roughly 100 years another revival far eclipsing Azusa would come,” says Lou Engle, founder of TheCall. “The fulfillment of Seymour's word is overdue … or right on schedule. Let us therefore “pray for the rain in the time of the latter rain.” Who knows? Maybe like those who were baptized in the Spirit in the original Acts 2 upper room, we will say, “This is that which was spoken by William Seymour the prophet!” 

I prophesied earlier this year that 2016 would be marked by shifting seasons and suddenlies. Part of those shifting seasons and suddenlies includes promotions and demotions. God is going to raise up the humble, hardworking saints and humble the prideful ones with wrong motives. Put another way, doors are going to open for some, and opportunities will diminish for others. The Lord spoke these words to me:

“I am promoting My faithful ones in this season to positions in My spirit and in the natural that defy human reasoning. My faithful ones have prayed and sought My face and walked in My will with the little things, and I am making them ruler over more in My kingdom. Those faithless ones will be demoted while my faithful ones are raised up in this hour. Those walking in pride will be brought low. Those walking in arrogance will not stand in My special places in this season. But those who have walked in the low places with Me, I will exalt and raise up and send out with an anointing to stand and withstand in this hour.”

I have been in a season of constant promotion for more than a decade. That's not to say that I haven't had setbacks or trials, but the Lord has worked it all together for my good. I've learned sometimes what looks like a demotion or closed door can really be the Lord setting you up to shift you into a new season. With that in mind, let's look at six ways to respond to this prophetic word.

Before 2016 even began, the Lord told me 2016 would be a year of shifting seasons and suddenlies. That means transitions. Many are reporting shifting seasons, suddenlies and transitions—or feel one coming on. Others are frustrated because they bear witness to the prophetic word but feel stuck. Consider what the Lord told me:

“Many neglect the angels of transition, and they bypass the help I have sent to transition them into the next stage of their journey. Many ignore the angels of transition and, therefore, fail to enter into the new place I have set aside for them at the appointed time. Many are working in their own strength, struggling in the flesh and failing to embrace the work of My angels on assignment to help them transition into the new thing. Look for the angels in times of transition.”

Only God can transition you from glory to glory, but there are angels to help you. Despite the acknowledged extreme teachings in the realm of angels, I was surprised at how much angelic activity we find in both the Old and New Testaments. Angels are mentioned 108 times in the Old Testament and 165 times in the New Testament—and the New Testament is much shorter!

Over 200 intercessors gathered in Orlando recently to praise, worship, pray, prophesy and wage war against anything that opposes God's will. Honestly, it was one of the most powerful six hours of intercession I've ever experienced.

I'm hoping to see this harp and bowl style meeting rise up in cities across the nation. Order and Spirit-led liberty marked the meeting. Under the leadership of Ken Malone of Forerunner Ministries, we took authority over the seven mountains, we cried out to God for our families, we prophesied the Lord's will in the region and more.

Early in the meeting, the Holy Spirit told me He wanted to deal with thrones in the region. He revealed that worship takes place at altars and many have focused on tearing down the altars built to Baal, Jezebel and other false gods. That's appropriate, of course, but He also showed me people also worship at thrones and he wanted to dethrone some of the demonic seats of iniquity.

I had no clue the 2016 Summer Olympics were in just two weeks. I have been knee deep in reporting on terrorist attacks, shootings and other violence in America and around the world.

At about 6:30 Wednesday morning, I heard these words in my spirit:

ISIS and other dark forces have formed a confederacy that will orchestrate a coordinated attack at the Olympics. The plan calls for attacks on every side and in diverse manners. Suicide bombers are being trained to infiltrate the perimeter with new tools and tactics and with mass carnage in mind.

There's a rich root of revival in Los Angeles—and women were a key part of it.

Assemblies of God history tells us the Azusa Street Revival brought women's ministries to the fore. Indeed, Jennie Evans Moore who married Daddy William Seymour in 1908, was a key figure. Her name is not as well known as Seymour's but she was in the revival trenches with him, along with Lucy Farrow and Julia Hutchins. These virtually nameless and faceless, yet faithful, women helped keep the fire burning.

Maria Woodworth-Etter was a mother figure in early Pentecost—John G. Lake called her “Mother Etter.” Her trance-marked ministry helped pave the way for the Azusa Street outpouring and ultimately the birth of a movement that changed the world.
