When You Can’t Trust Anyone Around You
I'm a trusting person. I don't throw discernment out the window when I encounter new people, but neither do I enter into new relationships with suspicion. Essentially, I choose to believe the best; to take people at their word; and to give people the benefit of the...

1929 Preacher Prophesies Judgment on America
“Civilization and society rest on morals. Morals rest on religion. Religion rests on the Bible and faith in God and Jesus Christ.” Those were the words of Billy Sunday, who was a famous professional baseball player in the 1880s before he accepted God's call as an evangelist.
Sunday was just as influential in the church world as he was in the sports world, and we would do well to remember his words today. Indeed, morals rest on religion and religion rests on Bible and faith in God and Jesus Christ. But civilization and society at large are rejecting morals, religion and Christ.
Sunday saw an epidemic of immorality back in 1929 that lit a fire under him and anyone who would listen to his theatrical preaching. In a YouTube video called “Billy Sunday Burns Up the Backsliding World: Whirlwind evangelist swings into action at Boston,” Sunday had a warning for America.
Mornings With the Holy Spirit: Making Declarations That Strengthen Our Faith
We need to know who are in Christ and who He in us. Sure, we all know but maybe we need to a greater revelation. When we really know the power and authority that we have in Jesus' name, we can plow through even the darkest opposition unto victory. In this Mornings With the Holy Spirit prayer call, we prayed over these issues and made powerful declarations that will surely strengthen your faith. Click the headline to access the call.

Perversion Rising: ‘Book of Yeezus’ Replaces God With Rap Star Kanye West
There's no lack of controversial Bible translations. The New International Version came under fire in 2011 for using gender-neutral language. The New American Bible also made headlines in 2011 for how it referred to the Virgin Mary.
Perhaps the most offensive translation so far is the Queen James Bible, known as the Gay Bible, which argues that “homosexuality was first mentioned in the Bible in 1946 in the Revised Standard Version” and “anti-LGBT Bible interpretations commonly cite only eight verses in the Bible that they interpret to mean homosexuality is a sin.”
Now, we see a “Kanye West” version of God's Word, which effectively removes any and all mention of God's name, hitting the market. The “Book of Yeezus” publishers are setting up West, a Grammy-winning rapper who offended many by kicking off his “Yeezus” album tour by inviting a Jesus impersonator on stage as God.

You Won’t Believe What the Devil Said to Me!
Life is not always easy. Ministry is not always easy. When people break their word to you, it's disappointing. When people close to you malign you, it's hurtful. When you are sick and tired and see no rest in sight, it's easy enough to grow weary in well doing and fainting doesn't sound like such a bad thing. At least you'd get some rest.
I've been there more than once—and you probably have too. Daniel 7:25 says the enemy comes to weary the saints but Paul told the Galatians not to grow weary. There's tension between those two verses. The devil really is roaming about like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour (see 1 Peter 5:8) and we a really are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus (see Rom. 8:37).
As warriors, we labor in the spirit to push back darkness and make the paths straight for Christ to have His way. We make intercession to see His Kingdom come and His will be done on earth—or in any given situation—as it is in heaven. But we're wrestling against principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this age and spiritual wickedness in high places to get the job done (see Eph. 6:12).

When Spiritual Warriors Break Rank
We're in a season of war and we need all the spiritual warriors in formation. But the Holy Spirit has shown me that some have broken rank.
I got this insight while on an intercessory prayer call for the “New Weapons for a New Season” conference at City Gate Atlanta this month. The Holy Spirit showed me about spiritual warfare technologies, which I shared with you in part one of this series: Spiritual Warfare Technologies That Take Down Strongholds.
At the end of the call, the prayer leader, Jacquie Tyre, asked if anyone had anything else to share. I hesitated because so much had already been unpacked during the call but I kept hearing the Holy Spirit saying “breaking rank.” When Jacquie asked me specifically if I had something to share I decided I'd better be obedient.
