I kept hearing in the Spirit, "I call forth the law of establishment." It would not leave me but cycled for many minutes. The Spirit of the Lord had me declaring it out in our prayer meeting, and I knew there must be more revelation to come forth. Establish is defined in Webster's as "to set up on a firm or permanent basis."I had just finished prophetically teaching my group that when a revelation comes into your soul and spirit that you need to pray it out but also that you need to pray into it. I was teaching them that often the Lord gives us revelation through declaration. As we are caught up in the moment and in the spirit praying and speaking out and declaring out, the very thing in which we are receiving to speak out could be a word of knowledge from our heavenly Father. When something cycles in your spirit man, press into it to see if there is more revelation our Father desires to distribute to us.As I pressed in, the Lord shared this prophetic word:
You may have seen the shocking news coverage of a nation still submerged after Cyclone Idai. According to the BBC at least 300 people are now confirmed dead due to the “catastrophic flooding” and others are still “clinging to roofs or stuck in trees.”The network has described parts of Mozambique as having become ‘an inland sea.’“We are 15 miles from the sea, but it feels as if we are right over it,” BBC Africa editor, Fergal Keane said during a helicopter flight over some of the worst-affected areas.
The instant you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, the Bibles affirms you underwent a supernatural metamorphosis, which transformed you from your old self into a new person in Christ (see 2 Cor. 5:17). This process, known as “regeneration,” provided you an eternity in God’s presence, but it also offers you exciting and powerful new ways to live today. Here are four of the supernatural changes that can have a profound effect on your everyday life.
I have found the prophetic gift, including inspirational preaching, teaching, and prophetic words, to be the most edifying of all the gifts — as St Paul said in 1 Corinthians 14. However, with every true gift of God comes either a counterfeit and or an abuse. You can say that about all of the cluster gifts mentioned in Ephesians 4:11. The prophetic gift can especially be very dangerous if left un-checked, since people think the words spoken are directly from God and will often obey them without question or the use of discernment. Based on all my years of studying and observing many facets of prophetic ministry, the following are ten signs of prophetic abuse and manipulation.I write this to serve as a guide to increase the level of discernment and true edification in the body of Christ. All sincere Christ followers should welcome these warning signs. If they are truly endeavoring to serve the Lord, they will welcome correction and or desire more discernment in the Church.
In 2002 in a lengthy season of prayer and fasting I saw a glass ceiling above me and everything I desired in ministry was on the other side—favor, anointing, power, significance, open doors, impact, etc. But while I was gazing at that glass ceiling God pointed me to the floor and began speaking to me about my foundations and character. He came to test me on a book I had just written called Soulish Leadership. On the heels of several well known ministers who recently died, among them some who were overcome by sinful lifestyles and vices, this is a sober reminder. God anoints men. Men qualify themselves with character (1 Tim. 3). Men are enamored with anointing, gifts, charisma, and talents. God places the premium on character, and He will test you, especially if you are crying out to be like Him.My father in the faith, the late Kenneth E. Hagin, ministered to 1000s of pastors and churches in his lifetime. He told us that very few of those pastors qualified for ministry. He even predicted how their children would turn out by how the parents were living. His predictions were 100% correct. Character should be the highest priority in life and ministry.
Years ago I was preaching a series of strong holiness messages in a particular church. After one of the meetings the pastor said something to me that I’ve never forgotten. “The Lord has dealt with me about preaching more on love than holiness,” he said. That statement didn’t sit well with me. I knew it was not accurate. Yet back then I didn’t know why. I pondered that pastor’s statement with my own thoughts that raced through my head. Is love more important than holiness? Are they different, or are they virtually the same? They have to be different, or we’d have a lot of redundancy in the Bible, I thought. But how are they different? Although I knew the pastor’s statement came from a lack of understanding true holiness, at that time I couldn’t thoroughly explain the difference. This pastor’s statement put an emphasis on love, which is of primary importance, while de-emphasizing holiness, which is not only God’s greatest attribute, but foundational to understanding man’s relationship to God. I walked away from that conversation knowing that this pastor’s view of holiness was not becoming or beautiful. I thought of how his view was probably shared by a multitude of believers, who have formed erroneous ideas and notions of holiness, due probably to their own negative experiences—like the cat who is afraid of water because of one negative experience of getting scalded by boiling water. Or of those who may have come from a background of legalism where do’s and don’ts were associated with holiness. These are among the reasons holiness has gotten a bad rap and is looked upon with a sort of disdain, as being primitive, outdated and just not culturally relevant. We need to realize, however, that negative experiences or unsound teaching does not nullify the real meaning, necessity, and beauty of God’s holiness.
On December 20th, 2018, I had a dream where I was driving to downtown Dallas. I was having trouble getting on the on ramp, as my car did not have enough horsepower to get on. I tried to find other avenues of entry but each posed a threat. Suddenly, a mighty angel began to descend from the heavens onto downtown Dallas. He had a fierce and war-like appearance. He was about 100 feet tall. As he descended he turned to look at me, I was facing downtown Dallas hovering over the skyline. He began to decree over me, and I had the strong impression that what he was speaking over me was being decreed over the city. I stood as a sign in this heavenly encounter. He began to thunder over me and Dallas, and when he did this I was overwhelmed by the authority and the power in his voice. I knew he was a prince warring angel, carrying an impartation from the spirit of prophecy. He seemed to embody the prophecy of God. The more He decreed, the louder his thunder grew.
“10 years ago, all I prayed for was to be healed. I never expected that You’d use me to heal others as well. You are amazing Lord! Thank You! I am now licensed to heal.” 30-year old Filipino, Albien Emmanuel Gacias posted on his Facebook page, March 14, 2019, the day he passed his Physician License Examination.Challenge AcceptedAlbien is a survivor of a malignant germ cell tumor, a kind of lung cancer from a developing sperm or egg cell that travels from the gonads to other parts of the body. But his love for his family gave him something to hold on to. “All those times I told myself I just need to be strong. I just trusted in the Lord and did not give up. Despite war and terror, the Kingdom of God continues to advance as Jesus becomes real in the unlikeliest of places. Leading The Way Ministries, led by an Arab believer, Dr Michael Youssef has shared the astounding testimony of a former ISIS leader who has turned away from his horrific past to follow Jesus.A religious leader in ISISMohammad (not his real name), was a religious leader in ISIS, He taught the Koran encouraging his fellow Muslims to memorize the verses and he urged them towards Jihad. “We had began to form groups to defend Islam,” he stated in an interview.
