Beware of False Watchmen Rising (Episode 020)

The Bible warns over and again about false spirits and people who operate in them. Jesus said, “Take heed that no one deceives you” (Matt. 24:4) False watchmen have deceived many over the years with date setting and warnings of economic collapse that drove fear in the hearts of mankind. Some best-selling books have been based on bogus warnings that frightened people into purchasing a revelation.
We can learn plenty about false watchmen from the warning in Isaiah. I want to stress there’s a difference between a watchman who is learning the ropes or even one who steps into presumption and a false watchman. That’s why books like this are so important. God is raising up a new generation of watchmen, and they need training.
