Reese Howells goes down in 20th Century history as a watchman intercessor that helped save the United Kingdom from the Nazi’s reign of terror in World War II. In his personal journal, he wrote, “I want to know that the Holy Spirit is stronger than the devil in the Nazi system. This is the battle of the ages, and victory for millions of people.”
Hundreds of thousands of British and French soldiers were trapped on the beaches in Dunkirk, France in 1940. The Nazis were poised to wipe them out when, unexplainably, Adolf Hitler gave a halt order to the armored columns moving toward the soldiers. About 400,000 soldiers were rescued in Operation Dynamo, which was surely an answer to the intercession of Howells and many under his oversight at the college (as well as intercession around the world). Hitler surrendered.
